Android o is here!
Just when we were selling down with Nougat rolling out to more devices, Google has stuff things up once again! The best version of Android is already here, and it's the Android O!!
Of course, it's a developer preview released for the Nexus and Pixel phones. But hey, it's nice to see Google putting their necks into the stuff we all love, clean and sleek stock Google Android.
Essentially there are a few things to note with this update. The settings menu seems to be redesigned. Options are a bit easier to navigate now and also there's that new background.

Google's Autofill API has been interested right onto the OS now. You know, that amazing way in which Google chrome browser stores your details, and fills them up in some online application fields automatically? That's baked right into the system now!
You can also directly sent stuff over WiFi direct in a faster way, using WiFi Aware. Not that we needed it, with presence of apps like SHAREit, but it's appreciated.
Google also says the icons are now adaptive, so phones should have pretty much similar look, despite the companies installing their own skins on top.

Managing notifications from the front down has become a bit more easier, because of automatic grouping. News feeds and other stuff related to a subject, will be grouped under a relevant name. Easier to swipe away!
Speaking of notifications, there's also an option to silence particular app notifications for a fixed duration.

You can block away those annoying WhatsApp message popups and get all the other notifications for the next hour in your meeting😎👍. Something similar to the alert slider on a OnePlus device.
That's for the developer preview anyway, let's see what the full version brings us. At the moment, you can try this out on your Nexus 6P, 5X , Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Stay tuned for more!
