HTC desire 10 pro and lifestyle: first impressions
HTC recently dropped two new devices in its mid range 'desire' series. The HTC desire 10 pro is the more premium one and desire 10 lifestyle is better suited for audiophiles. These are my first impressions of the duo.
\n
\nThe htc desire 10 pro has a fingerprint sensor on the rear which the lifestyle lacks. However the lifestyle has htc hi-rez audio and is boom sound certified. It also has front firing speakers similar to the flagship, HTC 10. Both phones are exceptionally well made and look more like a showcase item than an everyday device. I really like those shiny chrome metal bands and that matte finish on the back. Speaking of the back, the desire 10 pro has dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus for It's camera, the lifestyle doesn't. The desire 10 lifestyle is a bit taller then the pro because of that larger earpiece/ speaker. Other than that, there's the sim tray and sd card slot on the left, a clicky power button with volume rocker on the right side. The lifestyle has the wide speaker on the bottom and both phones have an older microUSB port.
\n
\nSpec wise, the desire 10 pro runs on a 2 GHz Mediatek Helio p10 octacore processor and 4 GB RAM. The desire 10 lifestyle is powered by a mid range Snapdragon 410 quad core CPU and 2 GB/3 GB of RAM. The display on both phones are made of an IPS LCD panel, but the pro has 1080p resolution and the lifestyle is stuck at 720p. There is 64 GB non expandable storage on the pro. Lifestyle has a microSD card slot.
\n
\nThe camera in the desire pro is a 20 mp sensor with f/2.2 aperture on the rear and a huge 13 mp selfie snapper. The desire lifestyle has a a more modest 13 mp rear and 5 mp front sensors. Camera quality looks decent at first glance. I'll comment more on it, IF I do a full review😅. The selfie camera on the pro is a wide angle 150° one and can capture quite a lot in a single shot. That's ways mice to have, for groupies😁. These cameras aren't as good as the premium HTC 10, but aren't too bad either.
\n
\nBatteries on these phones are rather small ones. The desire pro has a 3000 mAh unit and lifestyle has a smaller 2700 mAh battery. With HTC's lightweight UI, it should get you through the day, but I'm sure you won't get a lot of hours of juice out of these😫. Overall, it has been a tough year for HTC, with their htc 10 flagship quickly becoming underrated. Will these two put they're name back on the top? Well have to wait and see with our hopes up, when they hit the market.
\n
\nI'll probably do a full review on these two phones soon, so please check back here sometime😊☺👍.
