Huawei honor 5C review
World's 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer, Huawei has a selfies centered smartphone to offer in their honor sub-brand. This is a review of the Huawei honor 5C.
Design: needless to say, all phones nowadays are exceptionally built no matter which price range they fall. This phone too has nice aluminium 6000 series metallic body coming in at 8.3mm in thickness and around 155gm in weight. The phone is beautifully crafted like all other offerings of the honor series. Props to Huawei for that.
Display: The phone has a 5.2' 1080p IPS LCD display with excellent colors and legibility, at 424ppi. The device has on-screen buttons instead of capacitive ones.
Performance: The phone runs on Huawei's own CPU called Hisilicon Kirin 650. An octacore SoC with cortex A72 architecture and 1.8 GHz clock speed.
It has 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a Mali T830 mp2 GPU. The RAM may seem falling a gigabyte short of the present standard of 3GB, but the processor is well optimized by the geeks at Huawei for silky smooth operation, and their emotion UI, based on Android marshmallow 6.0, makes sure of it😉👍.
The phone has 16GB of on board storage expandable via microSD upright 256GB.
The fingerprint sensor in the rear works almost flawlessly, recognising your finger 9/10 times. It's very fast at unlocking and is easily reachable too🤓.
Camera: The rear camera is a 13mp sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is an 8mp sensor with an 87° wide angled lens for groupies. The camera was meant for selfies anyway, so it pretty much delivers what has been asked. The photos are good and well detailed where there is plenty of light, but tend to lose their details under dim lit situations, like most other mid rangers.
Battery: The phone has a 3000mAh battery unit. It may seem less, but the effecient processor and the optimised UI gives great standby time and you'll also get around 1½ days of usage easily. There is no fast charging though. But atleast you won't need power banks💪😃.
Price: the phone retails for a standard mid range budget of 9,999 INR. A fluid UI and a solid battery life with decent performance; the price definitely seems to justify itself here👍🙄.
