Nokia 6 smartphone released!
Nokia has made a proper comeback to the smartphone market. Their android powered smartphone called the Nokia 6 has been launched in China. And frankly, I'm not as happy as I though I would be, when it arrived😒. These are my impressions on Nokia's new android offering.
The Nokia 6 has a gorgeous design, just brilliant. The 7000 series aluminum unibody with that 2.5D curved glass gives it an amazing appeal. The entire fit and finish seems amazing. HMD global, the new owners of Nokia, have made a stunning phone. The display on this thing is a 5.5 inch FHD display, probably IPS LCD.
The spec sheet of the phone is where I was let down. The phone is powered by an octacore Snapdragon 430 CPU 😐. Sure it has 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and an awesome 64 GB internal storage, but the silicon underneath is frankly, mediocre. Sure, it's plenty for everyday usage, but it lacks the punch that was promised to us. We would've loved to see an 820 or an 835 either, wouldn't you say??

The battery on the device is a 3000 mAh unit. With that CPU, it should be good enough for a days use. There's also a fingerprint sensor, which apparently works flawlessly. The cameras are a 16 mp rear sensor at f/2.0 aperture and an 8 mp selfie snapper. Optics are decent enough and will probably not disappoint us.
The phone is priced at around $250 or about 16,000 INR. Seems a bit pricy to me, especially considering that we get a much more powerful CPU, for quite less on popular China phones, like the Redmi note 3. After all, Nokia is being backed by another company here. HMD failed to impress a lot of people who expected to be dazzled with the return of 'The King'.
And the fact that it's only for the Chinese market and not for India, makes the King lose his bling😓. You can import it, but i wouldn't recommended it. You might face network issues here, as the frequencies vary from China. Let's hope there's a better version designed as an Indian exclusive, for fans and die-hards among us😏.
