Oukitel U7 pro review!
Remember Oukitel?! The manufacturers of the biggest battery phone in the world!? They've made another unique phone. Not int terms of features but the price! This is the BEST smartphone that you can buy under a tight budget, under 5000 INR right now!
Let's take a look at he Oukitel U7 pro.
Design: The phone is beautiful; too good for the price. It has a clean front and polished back panels with smooth curved edges. It looks like solid aluminum but it's actually plastic. It's constrictions isn't very bad for a plastic body. The volume buttons are on the left and power buttons are on the right side. The microUSB port and headphone jack are up top and on the bottom, there's a primary microphone and a speaker grill. Audio output is pretty loud but starts to crackle as the volume is cranked up. The phone is 9 mm thick and weighs a hefty 200 gm. It looks EXACTLY like the iPhone 6s plus in terms of button placement, color variants and height. That's why it's the Chinese iPhone of 2016!
Display: The phone has a 5.5' 720p IPS LCD panel with 267 ppi. The display is quite bright and pretty much visible outdoors. The viewing angles are fine, though not the best and colors are also pretty actuate. For the price, I really like what we're getting here.
Performance: Powering the Oukitel U7 pro is the Mediatek MT6737 quad core chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz along with Mali T720 MP2 GPU and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. Though it runs pretty smooth on the UI on top of Android 5.1 lollipop, it's not very powerful( duh!). But as long as you don't plan on playing any games on your below budget phone, you'll be very happy with what you get out of the U7 pro. There is 16 GB of built in storage expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. There aren't any fingerprint sensors here, but the phone comes with something called smart gestures. The same ones that you typically find on a Chinese OEM. Like swipe down when screen is off, to launch camera, swipe up on the sleeping screen to directly wake and unlock, m for music, e for browser and others. That's quite handy for some but totally a gimmick for a few. It's nice to have them anyway.
Camera: The rear camera on the phone is an 8 mp sensor with f/2.2 aperture and the front is a standard 5 mp snapper. The camera app is the default Mediatek app with a few additional settings like color adjustments. Camera shutter is decent in terms of speed and photos are just average. That's the deal wothost China phones. They usually cut the corners in camera a department to reduce the price of their phones. Can't say there's anything to be proud of about the front camera either.
Battery: This phone has a 2500 mAh removable battery. There is no fast charging but at least you can carry spares to swap out, if it's needed. Usually you won't need it, as the phone goes through the day giving you 4 hrs of screen on time. That's pretty acceptable to me.
Price: The phone is incredibly affordable at just 4000 INR ( $60). Can't really argue with what you're getting for that price, huh! I guarantee you, there's no better phone than this, for a budget as low as 4K INR😎✌.
