Eye scanner phone?!
Apparently, people are bored of the old methods of smartphone security. Having fingerprint sensors on their phones is pretty common these days. When all hope seems lost, a Chinese multinational company called TCL saves the day with its iris scanner phone. This is a flying review of the TCL 560 smartphone.
Design: the phone's fit and finish is very good, built out of linear machined aluminum. This phone comes in 2 color variants: dark gray and metallic gold. The phone weighs 156gms and is not exceptionally thin. Sorry, slimness fans!
Display: the display on the TCL 560 is a 5.5" 720p IPS LCD panel with 287ppi. Colors and saturation are OK, but sharpness is not something to be proud of.
Performance: the phone's horsepower is average at best, as it runs on an old Snapdragon 210 quad core chip clocked at 1.1GHz. it's coupled with 2GB DDR2 RAM and an Adreno 304 GPU. It also has 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
What's unique about this phone, is the iris scanner, which scans your eyes instead of a password and unlocks your phone! It works well under well lit environments. I don't mean to sound rude, but it kind of works the same way as face unlock on most of our phones😅.(need plenty of light on your face). But it definitely is worth boasting though. Something similar to what microsoft people have been trying to get in their Lumias' back in the days. The phone runs on nearly stock version of Android 6.0 marshmallow.
Camera: nothing exceptional; an 8mp rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a standard 5mp front snapper. What's interesting is that maybe the front camera has bigger pixel size, due to which it captures a bit more light than what anyone would expect for this price🤔.
Battery: the phone's battery is a 2500mAh unit. The phone doesn't have any power hungry specs, so the battery should really last a day for most users.
Price: the phone is very budget friendly, retailing for 7,800 INR. It you're looking for a futuristic piece of tech in your pocket without emptying it😉, this might be the one you were waiting for!🙄
