ulefone power 2
Ulefone has been quite active recently, releasing phones one after another. Now this one, the Ulefone power 2 has caught my eye among the many others, for it's iconic design and great specs for the price. Let's take a look at the Ulefone power 2.
The phone's back is quite apart from the usual, I'd say. The camera seems to be pushed to the edge and the phone surprisingly has a bold feel to it.

That's what most manufacturers are lacking these days, guts to do something new. I'm looking at you, Apple and Google(only for the Pixel).
Being a rather small company, Ulephone haven't backed down before drawing out this card!
The phone is made up of metal, which always feels great in the hand.
Up front, there's an IPS LCD of 5.5 inches, at 1080p resolution. Displays nowadays are great, even on budget offerings.
This phone by no means is a regular mid ranger, so expect a great display, if you get this one!

This thing is powered by a Mediatek MT6750T processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz. It's coupled with a Mali T860 MP2 GPU and 4 gigs of RAM. It's a very smooth phone and will not disappoint most people.
What might switch off some of people, would be the UI. Though it looks quite classy, it gets boring quite soon. It's much better looking than other China phone UIs though, like MIUI.
It supports two SIM card slots, both being micro SIMs, there's also expandability here. But I found that LTE cat 4 is pretty much the only 4G band supported.
This means that some of your regional networks here in India, may not work on this one. So keep that in mind.
The rear camera is a 13 mp sensor and the selfie camera is an 8 mp one. Both cameras are very good, producing decent to good looking images in pretty much every condition.
Of course, with lower lighting, the photo adds on grain and digital noise. That's to be expected on any phone sensor, be it a flagship or a mid ranger.
Also, the bluetooth version seems to be 4.0 and not the latest 4.2 which is weird. Not sure why they decided to put on an older radio, but there's still A2DP support.
Speaking of old things, this phone still has a microUSB port and not a type C one. I feel newer phones should be equipped with newer tech, even if it feels out of place at the moment. Because that's a measure for future proofing.
The most important thing about this phone is of course, the battery. With a massive 6050 mAh battery unit, it certainly is worthy of the name 'max'.
Battery life is as amazing as you'd imagine. It gets you through 2 solid days of moderate to heavy usage. Recharge speeds could've been better with a higher capacity port like type C, but oh well! It is what it is.

Overall, the Ulefone power 2 is an amazing phone that exceeds the expectations of the common users. The phone looks very iconic and eye catching, thanks to that unconventional design. For the price of a mere $250 , I'm sure it's going to make a lot of people happy.
