Xiaomi Hongmi 3X : quick review
Looks like xiaomi is on a killing streak of all budget smartphones in the market. This is their latest contender in their hongmi series or as we know it, redmi series. Read through a quick review of the xiaomi redmi 3X.
Design: The smartphone is made of a magnesium alloy with slightly chamfered edges, giving it a pretty good feel in the hand. The phone is 8.5mm thick; nothing extraordinary, but already you can comfortably hold it's sides😅.
Display: The phone has a 5" 720p IPS LCD display with xiaomi's sunlight display technology. Display is sharp enough with 294ppi, for regular tasks and has decent outdoor visibility.
Performance: The phone runs on a newer Qualcomm snapdragon 430 quad core cpu clocked at 1.4Ghz and Adreno 505 GPU, with either 2GB/3GB RAM and 16/32GB of expandable storage. The processor is meant for low end devices, but the GPU on this phone is to good for the price😃👌. It runs on MIUI 7 on top of Android 5.1.1, which is disappointing, considering all phones usually come with Android 6.0 these days. But thankfully, the UI is smooth and stutter free for the most part, and gets the job done. So it's all cool😉.
Camera: The rear camera is a 13mp CMOS sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and front camera is a 5mp sensor. Both cameras are capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps. Yeah! Even front camera supports full HD videos! Everybody beats Apple in this department😉😂.
Battery: The battery on this phone is a hive 4100mAh unit with Qualcomm Quickcharge support. That's amazing, considering this phone only had a low powered chipset. So battery life is exceptionally good. No surprises there!😉
Pricing: This is xiaomi, known for it's bigger friendly badass phones, so prices will naturally be low. The 2GB/16GB will cost 7000 INR and the 3GB/32GB will cost 9000 INR. There you go, another entry to your next smartphone list, which doesn't break the bank.👍😎
